Reduce, Reuse, Then Recycle

by | Aug 5, 2010 | Archives

It is estimated that Canadians produce more than 31 million tonnes of household waste each year. It’s up to each of us to make responsible choices.

We need to move away from thinking of recycle first. We need to re-think and put reuse and reduce first. There are many ways we can achieve this e.g.:

  1. Buy your morning coffee in a reusable travel mug;
  2. Avoid buying goods with excess or needless packaging; and
  3. Use reusable shopping bags.
