Whole Foods Foundation event
Live for Tomorrow will be supporting the Whole Foods Foundation by raising funds.
With your help, Whole Planet Foundation is giving a hand up to half a million people in communities that supply Whole Foods Market stores with products. Join this year’s campaign to empower 70,000 more people with the chance to change their lives.
Whole Foods Market West Vancouver will be fundraising for the Whole Planet Foundation. The store goal is to raise enough funds to support 121 microloans in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
The goal is $21,855.30! 100% of your contribution goes to microlending programs.
What is the Whole Planet Foundation?
Whole Planet Foundation was formed with the entrepreneurial spirit of Whole Foods Market in partnership with Professor Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank, co-recipients of 2006 Nobel Peace Prize. Yunus, founder of Bangladesh’s Grameen Bank, is a pioneer of microcredit, a tool to empower the poor. A private, nonprofit organization established by Whole Foods Market, provides grants to microfinance institutions who in turn develp and offer microenterprise loan programs, training and other financial services to the self-employed poor.
