One great company I found on the internet is Live For Tomorrow. Munu Hicken-Gaberria is the Founder and President (‘guvnor’) of LFT Group, which is the brand owner of the Live for Tomorrow range of environmentally friendly household products. As an environmentally friendly person Munu decided that he wanted to create an organization which was focused on the triple bottom line model:People,Planet,Planet. Munu wanted to offer a real alternative to those wanting to ‘make a difference‘. Munu felt that BC’s clean water and pristine environment would not stay like this for long without a change in behavoiur and thinking. And so,Live for Tomorrow was born. You can read Munu’s whole story here.
I got to try their Unscented liquid laundry detergent and their Lavender fabric softener. I wash all my clothes in cold water so it’s important to me to have a good reliable product that works well in cold water. The Live For Tomorrow liquid detergent is suitable for cold water. They suggested to use 1/4 for normal and heavy soiled clothes. I was curious to see if it would clean heavily stained garments. Some organic cleaners have not lived up to their claims. I threw a load of my husbands dirty, stinky and stained clothes and used a 1/4 cup of the clear liquid laundry detergent. The result:I was nicely surprised how clean they came out, really clean!! My husband remarked on how clean they were and he liked not having a perfume smell to his clothes. I also washed a load of really old fine doilies which had a lot of ecru age spots I call it using a 1/8 cup liquid detergent. The doilies came out looking fresher and much cleaner. Some spots did not come out but they had been there for over 20 or more years so I was pleased. All the loads I’ve done since are clean and fresh using this detergent, yes I’m really pleased with this product.

The lavender fabric softener is such a nice product too. It has the delightful scent of a field of lavender. I don’t like to use too much fabric softener because the scent can be so strong but this product has a mild scent. I use just enough so I don’t have
static cling. They suggested using 1/4 cup for normal loads and this actually worked out well. For light loads I used 1/8 cup. My clothes felt soft,no cling and had the slight scent of lavender.

I admire the ethics and compassion for the earth, the people and the animals this company has. I love these products and would use them all the time if they were available in my local store. I understand that Live For Tomorrow products will be available soon in Alberta so I’m looking forward to that. This earth loving company has really stepped up and created earth loving products that work.
Also of interest is the LFT Group has set out in its vision that Corporate Social Responsibility is a key goal with a focus on triple botom line. As part of profit mandate,we have set out to donate 1% of our sales to social and environmental organizations.
The great people at Live For Tomorrow would love to offer one lucky reader the chance to win their Liquid Laundry Detergent (60 loads). Thank you very much lft-group.
